Funding Your Transaction

If you are purchasing a property with Legacy Title, you will likely need to bring money to complete your closing. Legacy Title takes its settlement responsibilities very seriously and strives to keep all parties and their funds safe during their real estate closing. Please follow the below instructions when submitting funds to Legacy Title:

 

Bringing Less than $15,000?

You may bring Certified Funds with a payee of Legacy Title  to your closing, or you may send a wire to Legacy Title.

Bringing More than $15,000?

You must submit your funds via a wire.

Wiring Pro Tips

  • Always use a verified phone number to get wire instructions – never trust emailed wire instructions.

  • Utilize our wire instructions recording on our mainline 24/7. Call in, and listen to our recording to verify any wire instructions you have received.

  • Request a copy of our wire instructions via our secure client portal.

  • Always confirm the money is going to the correct receiving bank BEFORE sending funds.

  • Send your wire before your closing. Wires may be received quickly, but there are also many things that can delay wire transfers. Bank closures, time differences and bank practices are a few common delays that may cause your funds not to be transferred immediately. Transactions will only be funded/completed once all funds are received by Legacy. Please be sure to plan ahead so funds have time to arrive at Legacy Title prior to your closing.
